I Realized I Wasn’t Broken. The Systems Are
In 1995, my uterus ruptured at four months pregnant. I bled to death internally.
Modern medicine saved my body but it didn’t heal my soul.
That near-death experience demanded truth. It demanded transformation. I couldn’t return to the life I had been conditioned to live. I wasn’t broken. I was breaking free.
More than 27 years ago, I followed the call to Peru.. lost, but awake. There, I met Valerio “Freddy” Cohaila, a revered Peruvian shaman who saw me not as wounded, but as becoming. Alongside Dr. Jeff Migdow, now co-author of Goddess to the Core, I began a journey my mind didn’t yet understand… but my body and soul did.
Traditional therapy didn’t work for me. It explained my pain, but it didn’t release it. My healing lived in my body and to reclaim my power, I had to meet it there.
Through Indigenous ceremony, plant medicine, and deep embodiment work, I met the greatest healer of all: Mother Earth.
She brought me home to the Feminine, not the soft, silenced version the world taught me, but the full-spectrum Goddess Warrior within: fierce and compassionate, divine and assertive, rooted in love and truth. I didn’t just heal. I remembered. And I learned this:
