Goddess in the Bedroom® was born from my internationally renowned Boot Camp for Goddesses® retreat. What started as a short class had women lit up and begging for more. So I built the full weekend workshop and it exploded.
It launched at the world-famous Kripalu Center and sold out across the globe for over a decade. Back then, even spiritual centers were afraid of women’s sexuality. But I wasn’t. I saw what women were secretly craving and created the space they couldn’t find anywhere else.

Katie Strakosch “The Intimacy Doula”
In my 20s, I looked like I had it all studying nutrition, eating “clean,” exercising religiously but inwardly, I was deeply disconnected. I lived with painful ovarian cysts, unpredictable cycles, and pelvic pain so intense I would sometimes pass out. My emotions were locked away, and my body felt like a stranger. Trauma lived in my tissues, and I didn’t know where or how to start healing.
I tried every “fix”—birth control, supplements, prescriptions but nothing reached the depth of my disconnection. Then I broke. And in that break, I began to awaken.
I learned that true healing isn’t about control, it’s about coming home. Through years of personal integration and devoted study in nutrition, herbalism, esthetics, somatic therapy, trauma healing, sexuality, and nervous system regulation, I forged a new relationship with my body, one rooted in trust, pleasure, and presence.
That devotion is the heartbeat of The Intimacy Doula.
As the founder of Sunshine Kate’s Wellness Center and creator of The Intimacy Doula, my work is rooted in both lived experience and professional training. After years of personal healing, I’ve dedicated my life to helping women reconnect to their bodies—not through force or fixing, but through nervous system repair, somatic practices, trauma-informed care, and sacred sexuality.
My approach is slow, gentle, and shame-free, because true intimacy starts from within.

I created The Intimacy Doula to hold space for women who are ready to explore connection not just with a partner, but with themselves. My work weaves together body-based healing, sensuality, and presence, helping women feel safe, confident, and fully at home in their skin.
This isn’t about performing or getting it “right.” It’s about finally coming home to yourself.
She is a veteran yoga teacher, dancer, musician and guide with over 30 years of experience teaching Hatha, Tantra, Bhakti, and Kundalini Yoga styles. She has a Master’s degree in Teaching, is a certified Natural Health Educator, and earned her Massage Therapy license in 1990. She is a lifelong dancer, outdoor enthusiast, and musician, and has practiced authentic movement, somatic healing, transformational breathwork, contact improvisation, and conscious relating since the ’90s.
A mother of four grown children, she’s been in a thriving marriage for 17 years – monogamous for the first 11 and open-relating for the past 6. Known for her warm, grounded presence, Signa creates safe spaces for honest conversations about intimacy, desire, and empowered sexuality. Lori Teragawachi, Ed.D.
Lori is on Sierra Bender’s advisory board. She has completed Boot Camp for Goddesses Level 1 & 2, Goddess in the Bedroom® and hosted three Boot Camp for Goddesses® Level 1 in Maui.
She has over 25 years of diverse experience in facilitation, people development, organizational effectiveness, public policy, and leadership roles in a variety of business and educational institutions. Lori, born in Hawaii, received her Bachelor’s from the University of Hawaii.
Lori’s varied work experiences with companies like Citicorp, US West, Sarasota County, Advantec, and Public & Private Educational settings give her a wealth of learning scenarios to draw upon as a facilitator. She most recently left Maui College as the Director of the Office of Continuing Education and Training and has started her own Training & Consulting Firm. She continues to be the Director for the Leadership Program Ka Ipu Kukui Fellows, developing future leaders for Maui County, and contracts with the Franklin Covey organization facilitating leadership programs. She specializes in developing great leaders, great teams, and acquiring great results.
Lori has a Professional Human Resource (PHR) certification and a doctorate in Leadership Development from the University of Sarasota. She is accustomed to a fast-paced changing environment, with proven abilities to support organizational goals and engage people to get results. Her workshops are customized to be relevant and applicable. She has been a certified Facilitator for Franklin Covey programs for the last 16 years and is an Authorized Partner of Everything DiSC programs.
