Sierra Bender, Inc. donated $50,000 in scholarship money to women in Puerto Rico allowing recipients to receive training and education in the prevention of domestic violence. Utilizing the Sierra Bender Method for Personal & Professional Empowerment (‘SBM’) these women learned to identify and prevent domestic violence and abuse. The ‘SBM’ method helped them to improve the quality of their lives, and of their families. Women that completed the Sierra Bender Certification program were then able to bring the ‘SBM’ method to their communities.
After 30 years of bringing her message to women throughout the world, Sierra in 2013 decided to make Saint Petersburg, Florida her home and international headquarters. The reason why she chose Saint Petersburg’s Florida was for the international presence, intimate settings for family, friends and community and the strong influence of women in the community. Sierra felt it was a great platform to co-create with other women of passion, power and purpose to create change in the world. Because of Saint Petersburg’s unique environment and beauty, Sierra thought it was a great place to invite women around the globe to visit and join in her cause.
If it’s true that everything we need to know we learned in kindergarten, Sierra Bender, founder of Sierra Bender, Inc. must have been sitting in the front row the day they taught about sharing.

“Wow! I hope you had a great time at the Ultimate Golf Experience this year, I sure did. We had some great golf, (except for a little rain), incredible entertainment, and a really awesome tournament. The end result is that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is richer by $350,000.00, thanks to you!
Due to new treatments, new clinical trials, and new drug partners, the 30,00 kids and young adults with this terrible disease have a shot at a life with better quality, and possibly they’ll see a cure in their lifetime. For those of us who have lost a loved one, this is such good news. No one should ever go through the pain of losing a child. Just watching and listening to Mallory Code speak about their day gave most of us insight as to what CF kids have to go through just to live another day. Imagine having to take 40 to 60 pills a day! Plus insulin for diabetes, and heaven knows what else! It’s devastating.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your generous contribution of yoga classes and the Boot Camp for Goddesses® packages to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation this year. Your contribution amounted to $24,000.00. —Sheri & David Mount, CEO Warner Brothers Studio
“You are one of the most interesting people I have ever met and I appreciate your special gift of giving to those less fortunate. Thank you again for raising $24,000.00 with your program Boot Camp for Goddesses® to help fight cystic fibrosis.” —Laura Heatherly, Director of Marketing Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

“When you first contacted me at the Holley Center to discuss an empowerment and exercise program with our girls, I was very excited. Unfortunately, most of our girls, ranging from ages 5 to 12, didn’t share any enthusiasm, For the most part, they disliked the thought of exercising each week and talking about nutrition and stress reduction. Three months have pasts, and now I know that you are a miracle worker! Not only do the girls look forward to your visits each week, but also they are also seeing positive results in their bodies and are feeling an improvement in their self-esteem.
The Holley Child Care and Development Center is a 55-bed residential treatment facility in Hackensack, New Jersey for children with emotional problems. They come to us from homes or placements where they have suffered both physical and verbal abuse and/or neglect.
Your fitness program helps our children ease the pain of their difficult past and help them recover from the trauma. As a result of being involved in your comprehensive program, our girls have lost many inches of unwanted fat, appear to be more self confident, and have a different outlook on exercise, food and their self worth. Another important benefit for our children is that you are an outstanding role model, providing our girls with hope and inspiration.
In addition to the valuable contribution you have made in our girls’ lives, I wish to thank you for the contacts you made for us at Home Depot. Through your tireless effort, we have been the recipients of thousands of dollars worth of supplies to use to update our facilities.
Your contribution of time, effort, and most important, love, is appreciated by everyone at the Holley Center.” —Respectfully, Laurie Levin, Director
